numer02 gallery is pleased to present Lila a screening premiere by the artist Sergio Racanati. The exhibition premiere will be hosted on our gallery space starting from Saturday 12th of May until 11th of June.
Born in Bisceglie Italy, Sergio Racanati, with an original and immersive research, investigates the connection between urban, social, and the political in an architectural context. His artistic attention deals within the field of a silenced sensibility, a polimorphy of images, long shoots and interviews. It is an investigation which finds a narrative path at the limit of the public sphere. A long and mannered documentation of the community depicted in his political behavior and his relationship between individual and collective memory. Lila will be screened for the very first time at numer02 gallery, for the exhibition opening and on view prior to an appointment at email@example.com.
The film is a journey through the dimension of space and social time, in a systems of power and persuasion, through the visible and invisible practice of every day life. Whitin a journey in another continent, details, sounds, voices have been recorded as a conundrum of caleidoscopic vertigoes. The translation of the word LILA means something incongruous and mocking, swinging perennially between illusion and enchantment, the film puts in evidence continuous dichotomies and incongruences of a part of the world commonly associated only with the wonder of nature and spirituality. The spectator will be overwhelmed by events, unsolved micro-stories and turbines of thoughts that oscillate among the private/public sphere and the individual/common.
